Women Players have a little hunting and gathering in them too ya know

I played poker long before MOH (my other half) did. He's in Tunica, Mississippi as I write this, and I am in front of my computer. Something is wrong with this picture? Well not really. I introduced him to the game and (note the word) *tried to teach him how to play. Well, he has his own way and it works for him, so there. I blew in his hat and sent him off for a day away. Make that two. He is staying another day because he's winning. Good. It will give me time to write.

I remember when he came home one night and announced to me that "Men push women around in Poker." "Oh," I said. "No, really, I mean it, I did it all night. It's a man thing."he boasted. "Oh," I said, "You know, I had a sneaking suspicion that testosterone and a caveman image had to be kept up at a poker table, but never would I believe that men could be like that." (I turn and do a Joan Rivers finger down my throat) I quickly turn back and ask Dearest, " Well, how much did you take her for ? He cringed up that purdy face and said "Well, that last hand..." She got ya?" I asked. "Well yeah, She slow played her set." he said sheepishly. "Nooooo...gee, I wonder how she knew to do that?"

You betcha some men want to push women around the poker table. It's that EGO thing. Some of us bank on it...pun intended.

If you are interested in playing poker, ladies, take it from me. Learn before you leap. I grew up playing cards and it is still a learning process. If you decide to play, I hope we will meet and be friends at the table but remember, I push women around in poker too. It really is the nature of the beast - male or female.
